Registration is now open for the National Research Council’s seminar on Codes Canada 2015!
To help code users understand the code provisions, the Northwest Territories Architect Association, in collaboration with the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), is offering seminars on major technical changes in these documents. The seminars are designed to help code users familiarize themselves with the new code features and technical updates. They will address major changes including:
- fire protection and safety
- hazardous materials and activities
- HVAC and plumbing
- mid-rise combustible construction
- structural and seismic
- building envelope
- airborne sound transmission
- accessibility and stairs,
- energy efficiency
- windows and curtain walls
Builders, codes officials, manufacturers, fire protection services, designers, architects, engineers and people with an interest in construction and codes will benefit from these seminars. Participants will leave the sessions with an overview and improved understanding of the major changes to the 2015 Codes.
