  • 15th Annual Model Bridge Building Competition

    You are invited to enter NAPEG’s Annual Model Bridge Building Competition – March 5, 2016 The model bridges will be judged on design, aesthetics and strength and must be recieved by NAPEG by February 19, 2016.  There are five categories of competition: Category 1:  Children in Grades K-5 Category 2:  Children in Grades 6-8 Category 3:  Children in Grades 9-12   NAPEG will provide model bridge kits free of charge to all schools in the North, and to community groups dedicated primarily to children (e.g. Scouts and Guides) – Categories 1, 2 and 3.     The impacts of climate change are challenging all professionals and certainly, all NAPEG Members. The Fifth Report of the International Panel on Climate Change (2014) makes it clear we can no longer rely on historical climate data to predict future climate or weather. This means that current codes and practices may no longer provide adequate guidance. NAPEG members are expected to demonstrate “reasonable care” in how they practice their profession in terms of the health and safety of the public.
