NAPEG will be asking for clarification on the following answers to questions asked at a meeting with the Fire Marshal’s Office. In particular, clarification on responsibility and accountability. The answers were provided, in writing, from the Fire Marshal. At what point do professionals assume sole responsibility for complying with adopted codes and standards in construction designs? The Northwest Territories and Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists (NAPEG) Education Foundation may award up to two scholarships per year in the amount of seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500.00) each. The purpose is to provide financial assistance to Northwest Territories or Nunavut resident member engineers and geoscientists who are furthering their studies in engineering or geoscience. The NAPEG Education Foundation is offering scholarships valued at $2000 to students from the Northwest Territories and Nunavut pursuing education in the fields of engineering or geoscience.  Both scholarships are named in memory of past NAPEG members who were extremely active in the association. The Bob Spence Memorial Scholarship was established in 2005. Bob was a Founding Member of NAPEG, Past President, Past Executive Director, friend of many, and a strong advocate for professionalism and high ethical standards.
