  • NAPEG’s 13th Annual Bridge Building Competition

    To celebrate National Engineering and Geoscience Week, NAPEG is again hosting our Annual Bridge Building Competition for elementary, junior and senior high school students to discover the exciting worlds of science and math.  The Competition also includes categories for the general public and for Professional Engineers, Geoscientists, Architects, and Technologists of the Northwest Territories or Nunavut.  These links will take you to the 2014 Bridge Building Competition Rules and Guidelines for Building a Model Bridge.  All model bridge entries should be received at the NAPEG office by February 21, 2014.  Judging will take place on March 8, 2014.

  • Beta release of new CAN-QUEST building energy modelling tool

    The Beta release of Natural Resources Canada’s new CAN-QUEST (NECB 2011) software is now available for download at no charge. CAN-QUEST is Natural Resources Canada’s newest building energy modelling software. Building on eQUEST 3.62, the popular U.S. tool, CAN-QUEST includes Canadian weather data, support for metric and imperial units, and provides English and French language interfaces. CAN-QUEST was created as a tool to support performance path compliance with the National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings (NECB 2011).
