To mark the final day of Engineering and Geoscience Week, on Saturday, March 7, 2015 NAPEG’s Bridge Building Competition was held at the Centre Square Mall in Yellowknife. Thank you to all our participants and for the generous donations from First Air, Air Tindi, the Yellowknife Inn and Centre Square Upper Mall, as sponsors of Engineering and Geoscience Week.  School students, professionals and the general public from eight different communities throughout the Northwest Territories and Nunavut submitted model bridges which were evaluated for strength, quality of construction, and application of engineering principles.   Congratulations goes to…     Category 1 School…

Call for Posters NAPEG invites the submission of proposals for technical poster presentations at its 2015 Annual Professional Development Conference.   Poster submissions may describe recently completed work, highly relevant results of work in progress, or successful systems and applications, in all areas of engineering and geoscience. Posters are not considered formal publications.   Presenting a poster is a great way to communicate what your organization is up to, promote projects and get feedback. Poster presentations will be an informal part of the conference, with a session for interactive discussion between presenters and attendees, plus the opportunity where authors can…

Competition was held on Saturday, February 28, 2015.  Congratulations to both Williams Engineering Canada Inc. and GNWT Department of Municipal and Community Affairs (MACA) who combined the competitive spirit of a friendly competition with a unique way to help feed people and build the Yellowknife food bank stocks.  Also, thanks go to Mark Heyck, Mayor of Yellowknife, for being the 2015 Competition Judge.
