Engineers Canada 2020 Scholarships nominations are now open

Scholarship Program Each year, in partnership with Manulife and TD Insurance Meloche Monnex, we award six cash prizes totalling $60,000 to professional engineers returning to university. There are two types of scholarships: Engineers Canada-Manulife Three scholarships valued at $12,500 each to support Canadian engineers returning to university for further study or research in an engineering field. Engineers Canada-TD Insurance Meloche Monnex Three scholarships valued at $7,500 each to support Canadian engineers returning to university for further study or research. Introducing EngineerHere.ca, a resource for international engineering graduates This week, we are excited to announce the launch of EngineerHere.ca, a web resource designed to help international engineering graduates understand and take the first steps towards becoming engineers in Canada. The site aims to provide key information about the journey to licensure in a clear and welcoming way, and was developed in consultation with engineering regulators, subject matter experts, and a group of international engineering graduates at various stages on the path to licensure in Canada. It shows real case studies illustrating practical applications of the 10 guidelines contained in Engineers Canada’s National guideline on sustainable development and environmental stewardship for professional engineers (2016), which is the Canadian adoption of the WFEO Code of Practice for Sustainable Development and Environmental Stewardship (the Interpretive Guide is available here). This year marked NAPEG’s 19th Annual Bridge Building Competition in honor of Engineering and Geoscience Week. The event was held on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 at the Quality Inn in Yellowknife, NT.
