School Speaker Series Returns: Engineering and Geoscience Careers Unearthed

October 22nd, 2024 – We are thrilled to announce that the NAPEG Outreach Committee has restarted its school speaker series, providing students with a unique opportunity to engage with professionals in the fields of engineering and geoscience. This initiative aims to inspire and educate students about the diverse career paths available in the mining, building, geology, and environmental sectors.

In partnership with Ecole St Patrick High School and Ecole Sir John Franklin High School, the speaker series will take place during November and December. Each school will host a selection of NAPEG speakers who will share their expertise and experiences, offering valuable insights into their respective industries.

Students will have the chance to learn about the various roles within these sectors, the skills needed to succeed, and the exciting projects that professionals are currently working on. This is not just a learning experience; it’s an invitation for students to envision their future careers and explore the possibilities that lie ahead.

We encourage all students to actively participate in these sessions, ask questions, and take advantage of this opportunity to connect with industry experts. Together, we can spark interest in engineering and geoscience and pave the way for the next generation of professionals.

Stay tuned for more updates!
