NAPEG would like to make you aware of the following learning opportunity being offered by Engineers Canada.
Please consider enrolling in a free on-line course on sustainable development and environmental stewardship as detailed below.
The first edition of “Sustainability in Practice “—a massive open online course jointly developed by Engineers Canada and Polytechnique Montréal—wrapped up in December to great reviews from participants. In total, 1,554 participants registered for the free course, delivered over four modules in both English and French. An article on the first delivery of the course is published on the Engineers Canada website www.engineerscanada.ca
Registration is now open for second offering of the free online course. Registration closes April 15th and the course modules start March 20, 2019 for completion by May 17th.
Please note: there are no “live sessions” scheduled with this course. It is an on-line course that can be completed at the leisure of the participant which is why the registration deadline is April 15th (the date when the last module is released). Participants have until May 17th to complete the course requirements.
This course is a joint project between Engineers Canada (EC) and Polytechnique Montréal. It shows real case studies illustrating practical applications of the 10 guidelines contained in EC’s National guideline on sustainable development and environmental stewardship for professional engineers (2016). It suggests tools for engineers to apply these guidelines in their professional practice.
Ce cours est également offert en français
Please note this course is endorsed by the Professional Development Committee and qualifies for Continuing Professional Development hours.
